Dong Po in Appleton

I am consistently impressed with the excellence of this restaurant. The food is inpecibly presented, classical prepared,, tastes are phenomenal, and the portions are very satisfying. My favorites are orange beef (classic thin crunch with delicious tangerine) and hot & sour soup (delicious meat broth, unusual mushrooms, and perfect heat). All the classics, egg rolls, rangoons, and dumplings are the best I’ve found anywhere. The last time, I also ordered sushi which was detailed & delicious! Dung Po is a five star restaurant in my experience.

Chicken Lo Mein contained absolutely no chicken, Beef and Brocolli was bland.

I love this, as an Asian, I have to say this restaurant do the right and proper taste of all food!! The fried rice ( I didn't take pic) but I am sure that's the right and delicious one I have eaten in USA so far!! sushi and dumpling are good too! Those pics I took are all taste totally right decent!! I am so happy I finally got the good Chinese food in USA!! :)

Great food. The House Lo Mein is one of my favorites.

Excellent service and food. I love food so I've been to many restaurants and this has been the best experience I've had. We ordered two different main dishes and they both taste the way they are supposed to (different). Not like other places where the same sauces is used for different dishes. The shrimp tempura was excellent. Go visit them if you want good food and service. I will return again since I'm visiting from out of town.

I ordered the crispy duck and was really disappointed. Scant portions and very, very dry.

Amazing food. A must try.

Dined in, ordered hunan chicken entree, the flavor was bland although the won ton soup was good and the egg roll was tasty. We also ordered crab ragoons which were yummy but the filling was sparse. Seemingly its hit and miss.

It’s good. The food felt like it was decent quality. I’d probably actually give this place closer to a 4.5 but I decided to round up. They gave me a fork instead of chopsticks which I guess is fine but I actually prefer chopsticks (and it can be a little awkward to ask after being given a perfectly good fork).

Love this place! As good as anything I had in Japan!

Went for lunch with a group of friends. Had a great meal, staff was attentive, nice atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I were visiting in the area. Decided to try this place out. They have the best service! Our waitress was amazing. The sesame chicken was the absolute best I have ever had in my entire life! I love it! I would move here for their food! ❤️

In the past we have loved the scallion pancakes ... this time however they were REALLY undercooked. Prices quite a bit more than we recall (still have old take out menu). No bacon for the chicken fried rice? When did they stop that? At least still had pineapple, but the bacon added an excellent flavor! Truly missed it 😔

Dong Po use to be good when they first opened. We use to order from the at least once every couple of months. But the last couple of times we have ordered from them the food has been lousy. Food that should have sauces don't have any but maybe a tablespoon, if that. Dry, very dry. What good is a dish without the sauce, and that was the 2nd time it happened. My husband actually got sick from their food last time which was just this last Friday. So we will not be ordering from them again. Sorry!

Had a good experience in this place with my daughter. The food came rapidly and the service is just awesome. Prices are reasonable.

At the moment you step in this restaurant the waiters give you a nice feeling. Very congenial crew, it is a friendly restaurant to go out with friends or with your date. Excellent meals, professional chef, competitive price and professional service. Warmly recommended.

We were there Christmas Eve night. The place was packed and we were seated as soon as a table was wiped down, so relatively quick. The servers were very professional and had a good sense of urgency. Our tea and appetizers came fast and the table was continuously cleared of extra dishes. Yes, our main courses took longer than normal and our server acknowledged it. We had the Moo Goo Gai Pan, Honey Garlic Chicken, and Pork Fried Rice. They all came hot and delicious. The server even brought out extra plates for us. One person in our party was from Hong Kong and she was impressed with the authenticity of the food which says a lot- we've taken her to many Chinese restaurants here in the states. My grandparents came here in their lives, this is a favorite of my mother's and now for the 3rd and 4th generation. Thank you!

I love this Place. The food is so good and fresh. The wait staff is very nice as well. Best Chinese Food in the area that's for sure!

Food was great, prices fair & service & staff great.

You can tell it must have been a palace in its day but now this place is past its prime! We had a family dinner there on Sunday before returning to Rochester and my food came 10 minutes after everyone else's! We all agreed that it was was nothing special. Food was bland and had no flavor compared to many other Asian places. We will never go there or order from there again.

Ordered pepper steak it was spicy and no real flavor. Also ordered general chicken no flavor. For delivery. Manager would not make it again so we paid $30 to throw everything in the garbage. Will not order from there again.

Hunan Chicken ADD Cashews = YUM. Make it extra spicy too. We drive 20 minutes just to get theirs. Best we have found in the Fox Valley. & my kids love the lions with the balls in the mouth???

I used to order from this place a lot about 5 years ago and was never disappointed. After tonight's order I won't ever order there again!First I called, I asked if they are same management as 5 years ago, they said yes.I told her that I was very disappointed in my shrimp order. After debating with me what I actually ordered, I just wanted to let her know the shrimp was terrible!Supposed to be Large stuffed shrimp with broccoli and garlic sauce.I got a bowl full of broccoli with cold frezzer burned shrimp, so dry and rubbery without any sauce. It looked like the garlic was frozen with the shrimp because the only garlic in there was still stuck to the shrimp with cold hard butter holding it on. Yuck, what a waste of money.

I was very surprised with the amount of food I received with just a lunch special for 8 bucks it was a whole lot of deliciousness a lot of food I really do like the long Wong Tong soup and the Egg Roll was also pretty good all included can't beat that

My family and I have enjoyed Dong Po for the last 20 years. The food quality and quantity is great and the lunch specials are unbeatable for the price! I love Chinese food and try a new Chinese Restaurant whenever I travel. They make the best General Tsao's Chicken and Crab Rangoon's I've ever had by far! They have good Sushi as well. Highly recommended whether your visiting or want to make it a regular stop with the family!

I paid $15 for 2 sushi rolls online. Never have been here before so I figured I'd give it a try. I picked up the order and seen 2 very small sushi triangles. I thought "okay they should be high quality sushi". Got home, tried them and was very disappointed. The sushi temp. was hot (sushi should be cold) the fish was rubbery, hot and smelled rancid and I finished both rolls in about 5 bites. For $15 I expected high quality and a good taste but they failed to meet that. I wont be ordering from here again when I can get quality, more sushi for less the price and wait time.

Their food are very flavorful and absolutely delicious. Give them a try!

First time here on a total whim, we loved it! Great crab rangoon, pot stickers, hunan beef and my dish was excellent the Mango Tai dish was amazing!

Got curbside pick up tonight. The food was fresh, hot and so delicious!!!!! I'm a big fan of their honey garlic chicken. But hubs and I love everything we've ever gotten there!!!!

The Dong Po beef, Pad Thai, and the lettuce wraps are very good but I was extremely disappointed when I ordered Mu shu pork and the “pancakes “ were soft tortilla shells rather than the typical Chinese pancakes. I was in the mood that night for Oriental Food not Mexican food.

We have always been very pleased with our meals & service at Dong Po. I am surprised there are not more reviews. It is our Chinese restaurant per choice in the Valley. We always share the soup & an entree. Our favorite is the Egg Flower & Happy Family. Of course, for a starter the Lettuce Wraps are delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant & warm. Friendly efficient service. Wish they would get more accolades.

We went Christmas day as it was one of the few places open and we are SO glad we did. The food was incredible, lots of vegetarian choices, and a diverse menu. They had drink options. We could not have asked for better service. The prices were very reasonable. We are looking forward to eating there again when we are back in town.

A pretty typical Chinese restaurant with a wide selection of menu choices. We had a pleasant and efficient waitress, but my Hunan broccoli was a tad undercooked. However, the hot and sour soup was excellent, quite spicy!

Yuk---food is disgusting, the service is rude and, sorrryyy, this is not authentic. No taste, and it was cold. If you have ever had really good Chinese food you will know that this is not good food. Save your money, and dont even bother with this place.

We order every couple of months and the delivery is always faster then stated and the food piping hot. I love their Sushi and the rest of the menu as well.

I have been coming here for many years, starting when it was Chef Chu's. I usually order my favorite dish Hunan Chicken, which is excellent. Especially, if you like spicy dishes. Wonton soup is very good as are their spring rolls.

Really good food but a bit pricey

Absolutely best Chinese food I have had in a long time. We ordered for delivery it was fast hot and very fresh. This is my new favorite place. The lady that took my order was very nice.

HUGE delicious portions, fast service. Went on a date with a few friends, it was awesome. Definitely coming back.
